About Event

Engineering education in India has witnessed a major change over the past few years. Substantial increase in the demand for high quality education has led to the adoption of Information and Communication Technologies for extending the outreach of education. These include blending collaborative learning with interactive technology enhanced learning initiatives and finding ways of providing support for learners’ queries. Usefulness of digital technologies is imparted into a blended learning model for engineering education. The role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) plays a wider role in teaching-learning activities like content creation, administrative, formative and summative assessments, student's performance tracking, training, knowledge management and knowledge organization. The introduction of ICT approach is intended to improve the quality of teaching and learning to prepare students for the 21st century workplace. In addition, the technical features of ICT allow us to meet the demands of an institution. Essentially, the primary goal of the teaching-learning process is to develop industry-ready engineers, who are sensitive and aligned to the value system of the organization.

Events

The major Objectives/Outcomes of the programme are:

1. Providing an exposure to the faculty about the latest ICT tools in engineering education: animation tools, clickers (CRS-class room response system),
Moodle software, questioning skills, peer-learning, model based teaching, scaffolding and flipped classroom.
2. Integrating pedagogical tools with the ICT tools.
3.Tuning the faculty to the adaptive learning methods.
4. Task-based learning by pedagogic interactions among students and between students and teachers.
5. Enhancing emotional intelligence of faculty members.
6.Adapting to Conceive Design Implement Operate (CDIO) framework for curricular planning and outcome-based assessment.
